6am training started off my day once again! We worked on both our offense and defense and are continuing to master the 3-6-1 system. Tito Ernie's men's team worked with us a little bit to help us out with some areas we were having trouble. After training, the eight of us who needed to go back to immigration went to Marielle's house to shower (Marielle, or "yell" is our captain). Because we were in a Filipino house, we were fed. They made us really yummy burgers that we devoured within 5 minutes. Once we were all cleaned up, we headed to immigration. We thought we were just taking our oath and officially becoming Filipino citizens, but it turned into a much longer process than just that. We had to get our fingerprints taken, documents sorted through, and we needed to be interviewed. They asked questions to make sure we truly had Filipino blood and weren't lying about our family heritage. There was a little boy in immigration (his mom works there), and I gave him my iPhone to play with. Later on, my teammates were on instagram and pointed out that the little boy had taken a picture of himself and uploaded it all on his own! Smart little boy. He was either 3 or 4. He also kissed me on the cheek when I gave him my phone...so cute! Anyway, we ended up taking around 5 hours at immigration. it was really hot and uncomfortable in the building. To make matters worse, pants is a requirement at immigration, so I was totally dying. We were supposed to scrimmage that college boys team again at 4, but it got pushed back because we didn't get to the field until 4:30. The team actually played really well today and I got a lot of playing time. We lost 3-0, but I think the only reason they beat us is because they're faster. Plus, that's an improvement from last time! After training, we had dinner at Giligan's and oh man... Marisa and I definitely gained 5 pounds in an hour. Between the two of us, we split lumpia, salpicao (spelling?), bangus (spelling again? --this is grilled fish), cajun shrimp, garlic rice, chopsuey (spelling?? haha i suck at spelling these foods)... and we each had a mango shake and a fruit shake. SO yummy but I definitely have a food baby. ALSO, today was our last 2-a-day WOOOO!!!! Tomorrow we have training in the morning and then a press conference at 2:30 (and I take my last final exam of junior year!!) I think that's all for today... sorry that all I ever seem to talk about is food and soccer... but my day basically consists of only those two things plus sleep.
