11:54pm: Just arrived in the Philippines a little over an hour ago! It was a long 26+ hours of travel, but I'm glad I made it here safely! I slept the majority of the way, and got a little bit of work done which was good considering I still have to take two final exams while I'm over here. (I also ate multiple meals!) Tito Ernie wasn't lying... it is soooooooo humid here! I started sweating as soon as I got off the airplane and was practically drenched by the time I made it to my ride. I'm here at the complex we're staying at (fairly nice condos), and all my roomies (Sam, Marisa, and Sarah) are already asleep. Sarah (my bedmate) left me a nice lil note on the door though!:
Sarah's from Vegas but goes to school in California. Marisa is from Virginia and goes to Wake Forest, and Sam is Tito Ernie's daughter. She grew up in Cali, but now lives here in the Philippines. My body is exhausted from traveling but with all the sleep I got, I'm not actually that tired. I have my first training session in 6 hours though, so I think I'm going to force myself to get some shuteye...
(Also I know the timestamp on this is May 12...wifi access is pretty difficult to get here, so I've been typing this in a word document and waiting for good wifi to transfer it to the internet!)
