Day 8- May 14, 2013

Today started off with 6am training- a little bit of technical work, and then we scrimmaged the Stallions again.  This time they only beat us 8-1!! (improvement from yesterday).  After training, we went to Jamba Juice and then went to get fitted for the new track suits we’re getting.  After the fitting, we came back to the condos for a little bit and then I grabbed lunch with my roomies and Kat Lim (Kim).  Kim is from Cali and goes to BU.  We wanted a break from the Asian food so we went to a pizza place called Yellow Cab.  After lunch, we all napped for an hour.  On the way to practice, I got dropped off at the Department of Foreign Affairs because my, and eight other girls’, passport process is still incomplete.

We ended up being at the DFA for 4 hours, and missed training.  Tito Ernie was with us though, and he had all the balls so the rest of the team just did running.  The other girls didn’t get a chance to eat lunch, so we went to McDonald’s while we were waiting because it was just across the street.  The McDonald’s here serves fried chicken drumsticks, rice, and spaghetti.  I wasn’t surprised by chicken and rice being on the menu, but I thought the spaghetti was pretty interesting.

I had to take my passport picture which is definitely hideous- we didn’t know we were going to be taking pictures so we all had our hair pulled up, no makeup, and we couldn’t smile.  I tried to pull the no-teeth smile, and now regret that decision.  I think I should have pulled the no-smile mug shot instead.  Oh well.  After the DFA we got dinner at Giligan’s (shocking!), and then came back to the condos.  I got locked out for 2 hours, which sucked.  After training, all my roomies went to a soccer game and didn’t get back until after 10:30 so I just hung out in someone else’s room and watched the game that they were at on TV.  Now I’m doing a little bit of homework and am going to bed soon.
